When you use cloud translation, the text you submit is sent over an encrypted connection to our translation service and the result is returned to you. We record usage (token counts) for billing and quotas, and do not retain your translated content in readable form long-term.
You sign in with email or Google. We store your email to identify your account and send verification codes; with Google we receive only your email address.
Subscriptions are handled by a third-party payment processor. We do not store your card details.
If you point the app at a custom backend, text goes directly to the service you configure and never passes through our servers; your API key is stored only in your local keychain and is never sent to us.
The app needs Accessibility (selection / insertion) and Screen Recording (screenshot translation) permissions. The related data is used only for the current translation; nothing beyond the text to be translated is uploaded.
